Student injured in firing after clash outside Amity University campus

One student received a bullet injury in a clash between two groups outside Amit University campus in Noida on Friday, police said.
A university student named Gaurish Bhati got hit by a bullet in his leg as there were shots fired outside the campus after he had a scuffle with some outsiders, the police added.
“Today on October 11, 2024 at around 4 pm, Sector-126 police station received information about firing near the Sector-125 red light. Upon reaching the spot, Sector-126 police station investigated and found that Gaurish Bhati, son of Narendra Bhati, a resident of Salarpur, was shot in the thigh, and has been admitted to the hospital”, a Noida police statement said.
A formal complaint has been lodged against the perpetrators by Bhati’s family and soon the persons involved in the incident will be arrested, and strict action will be taken against them, the police statement added.
The cause behind the ruckus among the students and Guarish Bhati’s scuffle with the outsiders is yet to be ascertained.
